The 6.5 &/or 308 caliber would be the simple choice. Army already decided on the projectile (135gr .277 diameter, I believe). Lets bidders offer the chambering that fires this projectile of their choosing. I was listening to Tom Grishem (sp)podcasts and he had a guy from Sig on talking about it.
