I'm probably missing something but I wouldn't recommend taming them if you don't live in the snow area because of the risk of going all the way to north for this not that usefull mount. Not every dino in this list will spawn in every cave. Basically if cave has dinos above lvl 150, then you can't tame them.

The ichthy is like a raptor of the seas, except faster and weaker. The only thing to be wary of is do not get off of it and allow it to get hit, as it will dart away in fear.
My understanding about affinity is that it is how much the dino likes the food, which in turn makes the Taming effectiveness go down less each time it eats. Example 1: Taming effectivness is on 90% dino eats raw prime and it goes down to 89.5% Example 2: Taming effectivness is on 90% dino eats kibble and it goes down to 89.8%
