Naniboujou Lodge is a special place owned and run by a friendly, supportive family. COVID changed everything and they are doing superb at keeping the place open. However, the website hasn't been updated. The food served is basic, not award winning. Usual special activities are canceled for 2021. Naniboujou Lodge & Restaurant is located 15 minutes past Grand Marais on the lake side of Highway 61 across from the Judge Magney State Park. From Duluth: Take MN Hwy 61 North about 2 1/2 hours. The lodge is 15 miles past Grand Marais. From Thunder Bay: Take Highway 61 South about 1 1/2 hours. The lodge is 26 miles (42 km) from the Canadian border.
