I use Fot4e above AVE, works fine, but with Fot4e you need to find or make all 4 books at a tanning rack to add the items to the crafting lists, you'll need 4 rolls paper, 4 leather, 4 leather strips to make all 4. You need the books in your inventory to craft the clothes etc.
