Made a drill rig. A load of downward pistons, rotor, and drills. Occasionally have to extend, by merging drills to main grid, detaching top piston, retracting, and filling space. When re-attached, the drills decide they're completly static, not letting pisons or rotor move, not even falling when completely detached.Feb 15, 2020 · Go up a few feet, auto level, then send pistons down with sensors stopping them 1m away from ground. If your in survival you may need to do some wired merging. I find that the piston head doesn't like having a rotor on it, but works fine when the rotor is attached to the piston base. Then you only need a line (or cross) of drills to drill a similar area. The expanding can be done through the already used things or you include two connectors.With a little care and luck, you don't need to rebuild the whole thing. You could use a landing gear (or mag plate) to hold the drill arm in place, grind off the rotor, then lower the piston connected to the base.
