The 5th for me is nino because my main isnt an arcane caster and I need one in the party. So I force tell myself that shes an interesting character for lore etc, but depends down I dislike her passionately. Early game smilodon smashes, the ability to charge +5 attacks is really good. Arcane casters get Grease and Stinking Cloud which are fun. Druids make nature spring to life to root enemies in place, and eventually they strangle your foes, poison them, impale them with giant spike stones, etc. You also get some pretty nice AOE damage spells. Tsunami is fun.

From a Pathfinder perspective (different terms than HEMA), a bastard sword can be used 2-handed with Martial Weapon Proficiency. You can use it 1-handed if you take the Exotic Weapon Proficiency for it. Tristian, full cleric - probably best companion in game. aoe heals, summon, buffs. Valerie - full Feyspeaker, with leopard companion, all stats in CHA. 1) I like it more in Kingmaker than in Wrath. You have companion quests and interactions in every camping phase. 2) Nok-Nok and linzi for me. 3) There are companions for everyone.
