Sep 14, 2021 · Typically you want Boston FPS Fix at the bottom of your load order to fix any broken precombines created by your mods. If you place it near the top, as suggested above, any mods that break precombines will overwrite the fix and render it pointless. If you KNOW you have no mods that break precombines, you can place it near the top. #2
This will not magically make BostonFPSFix compatible with PRP or PRPFX. The three mods do the same thing and thus are incompatible, and PRPFX is the better usecase over BFPSFix, but this patch will stay up and be supported as a courtesy to the userbase. I've been doing a test playthrough with the following experimental "performance" tweaks on my i7 4770 and GTX 780 ti. uExterior Cell Buffer=4. uGridsToLoad=1. In all practicality, there's a slight visual deterioration for distant objects which I can hardly notice anymore. My game has been A LOT smoother. LIKE A LOT! Especially in Downtown Boston.
