In our networking closet we have an Alcatel-Lucent o-821m-e optical network terminal. I think it converts the fiber optic into ethernet because there is an ethernet cable that runs to our router/switches. There are actually two ethernet ports on the ONT that are both labled the same way, only one has anything plugged into it.
