Here is my personal ranking. This is based off weapon variety, DPS, possible builds, survivability, and skill required to play: Melee: Super high defense and survivability. Strong DPS, both with projectiles and especially with True melee. Tank builds are some of the most broken things in calamity, making melee especially good.

What is the best class in calamity? There is no best class. Mage is very aoe heavy and glass cannon like but has some good lifesteal early on even though lifesteal is nerfed in calamity. I would say that mage is the best for fighting the endgame bosses just because of subsuming vortex / void vortex.
