My brain zaps came and went within a year of starting an SSRI that I still take regularly. I haven't been sick with ANYTHING in the 6 or so years since then. I finally caught something, (it's probably just a cold, I'm covid vaxxed and it's just an itchy runny nose) but it gave me brain zaps ONLY the night before my symptoms actually hit me.
