The first pattern I started working on was this Picnic quilt pattern . I grabbed a stack of fat quarters from my stash, mostly basics with a floral from Rifle Paper Co. and those cute apples from the Smol fabric line. I wanted this quilt to have a woven look, similar to Jelly Weave but with larger pieces and intertwined fabrics.

It's my favorite slightly textured backing fabric and is easy to sew with. The last page of the pattern includes all of the cut sizes for each block in case you don't want to make a whole quilt.
