The Gen 2 does win on safety selector ergonomics for sure. I guess the AR buffer tube is nice for people who want a boring ass stock. Me personally, I chose the skeletonized "Ace/Doublestar" stock from KNS Precision. Also the addition of the 13 inch barrel option is great. The lack of irons is absolutely the worst thing about the G2.
