Speaking as one of the terps complaining about 135- it wasn't the content of the class that was difficult. 131 and 135 are supposed to cover all the same topics, just 135 has a few engineering related examples built in. The difficulty last year came from a combo of normal chem difficulty, department meddling so there was only 1 prof, and covid.
