I've given a mini-flesher away for the same reasons. I've never felt my work was good enough that it couldn't use the best help available to me and I simply don't do it. Just last week I had a client complaining I was too high. I do agree that a big wheel flesher is a definite must have when it comes to shaving the hide. Otherwise I will stick to my mini. Personally the mini-flesher wouldn't make a good anchor for a paper boat. If you don't have a fleshing machine, use a necker knife and fleshing beam. Salt it down with a good grade table salt. Put it in a box and send it out to professionals. They will pickle it, shave it, decrease it, and then tumble it with fur brighteners.Timewise, both seemed similar, but the table flesher did a nicer job and didn't throw bits of flesh all over me.
