P365 takedown lever stuck.

The problem is that when I reassembled the slide to the frame, while holding the takedown lever forward in accordance with page 62 in the manual, the slide assembled onto the frame with no problems but I couldn't get the Takedown Lever to rotate back clockwise to its operational position as illustrated on page 64.It might happen due to tight slide release lever release. It is now stuck at 7/5 o'clock. The slide sits about 1/8" from the back end of the frame, but racks ok and can be locked back with the release/catch. Also, can't get the slide off of the frame, now. A new, full mag is then inserted in the pistol and the slide is pulled to the rear and released to load a fresh round. The flat faces forward in the closed position. The rear end of the guide rod rests on the takedown lever (or pin). This requires the guide rod to protrude at the muzzle by about 3/16" or the difference between flat up and flat forward. If the guide rod is stuck at the muzzle the slide will stop about where your pic shows.I have owned this P320 for a few months now, and have disassembled, cleaned and reassembled it several times. This time after I was just about to reattach the lever, I noticed the spring was in the way in the lever-hole, so when I redisassembled it, the frame assembly (the trigger etc) came off with the slide, instead of staying with the grip frame.The standard p365 lever doesn't look like it would snag anyhow, and aside that, I got it because she liked the sights, not because I had a snag issue or even had the thought cross my mind once.
