And suddenly radarr and sonarr was not able to import the downloaded files. I'm not exactly sure what changed in terms of paths, as i'm using the exact same paths. But adding a path mapping so that the path that sonarr and radarr attempts to import from, is mapped to the actual downloads directory fixed the issue :)Movies > Library Import > Choose Another Folder. If by manual import, you mean copying the files from downloads manually, then no. Radarr formats the containing folders and renames the files the way I like them. I don't want to have inconsistent filenames, so I'd prefer to resolve the issue as stated. If you meant something else, then please elaborate.

Right now, I don't think there is a way to "force-import" of the duplicate. Radarr should allow importing of duplicates (default should remain disabled as is) and update the movie info with the duplicate data (location, file size, format, etc), overriding the existing info. Sonarr and Radarr have the same logic assuming you're on v3.0.7. Sonarr does show some files still in progress even though they have completed. Well that's your issue. They're not complete and thus can't be imported. Do you have a lot of queued tasks blocking download client refresh and processing? => System => Tasks.

I then tried to import my existing Radarr managed movie library and encountered a problem.
