It's true, that many Turkish guns didn't and still don’t compare to their US and European counterparts.
I bought a Retay. I shot a round or two of sporting clays and didn't like it much. Plus there isn't any savings over a comparable Benelli (Montefeltro). Aug 20, 2019 · Back at the clubhouse, I dismantled the gun and noticed the firing pin was striking the primer well off center. But every round that misfired would fire when loaded into the gun again. A quick call and some pictures as well as description of the problem with Retay determined there was likely a problem with the bolt face. The Ethos trigger break is just marginally lighter than the weight of the gun and that is a disappointment. My 6 lb. 7 oz. Benelli Ethos is hardly dramatically lighter than the 6 lb. 9 oz. Retay Gordion. The current ugly Ethos version has an MSRP of $2199. The Retay Gordion camo has an MSRP of $899.Has been performing perfect for clays, turkey and waterfowl. For example, there is a manufacturer that loads a 3/5 blend which is another great option for those hunting both ducks and geese. In my opinion there is no reason to use more than a 3 in shell in either steel or bismuth.
