There are numerous hikes right out of the door, no need to drive. Everything from a gentle stroll to a serious 17.5 mile out and back.The rooms are large and very well appointed. Just 2 things we didn't like, no ocean view, which was a disappointment when you travel to a island resort and this Ritz is located in the rainy part of Maui, and this held true almost every day. The pool area was beautiful and the hiking trail through Kapalua was awesome.
