This is tested with a sound meter set 20" from the exhaust outlet, 45* lateral to the exhaust pipe outlet centerline. To give a comparison, my 2008 Road King with SE slip-ons runs 86dbA at idle and 92dbA at 2000 rpm. There is no way to adjust this so I ended up chucking these and getting Thunderheader slip ons.
