It provides vacuum boost to your power brakes. Hook it up. Make sure all other vacuum outlets on the carb and intake are blocked off and you should be able to get mobile. May 11, 2009 · I need a vacuum line diagram for a '78 chevy truck w/ high output 305. The origonal engine was a 350, I used the 350 distributer on the 305 and the vacuum advance does not seem to be working. Any help on the vaccum advance would be appreciated also.
