PPTO Key Event Date Question. Hey everyone, So I completely understand that if you have a 9-6 shift and you call out on a key event date, you only need 8 hours of ppto, and you will not get any points. However, while reading through old posts and comments I have seen that using 4 hours (half that shift) will either give you .5 points or 1 point.Key dates mean double points. Black out dates mean they won’t grant extended vacations due to increased business flow. You can take a couple days off at a time, but they won’t grant vacations that last a week. Could be your market extended the black out dates this year, but my market said week before thanksgiving to end of December.
