Unless you're running redirection on Mesa (a waste of slot to me), there's no need for aegis or barrier, you pop shattered shield and the set of guardian lets you live much longer against high level enemies. As a test, I slapped two sets of arcane guardian on my Mesa, spawned 20 lvl 125 Noxes, used my 3, and they were only doing 6 dmg.
