Primed Fury is more/less for melees that don't support use of crits already, but would otherwise be kind of slow. It's also good if you can't fit the three mods for a Berserker build, or if you just don't have all of them.

With how easy combo is to build up now, primed fury is an upgrade to quickening. You should be stacking a speed mod with berserker on all non heavy build melees as they are multiplicative. Primed shred is great, but is weapon dependent. If a weapon has innate punchthrough, vile acceleration is better. It also does not work on shotguns.
