Killing Alpha Mosas and both regular and Alpha Tusos will yield nice chunks of pearls. If those aren't an option, farming Euryptids, or Trilobites is an option, but that may take a while. There is also a cave with black pearls there on a wall (eat the clams) second best is with a Stryder in gen 2 space when the proper asteroids are up. You can try using whip to get them, but seafloor is not a viable option for getting large amount of black pearl. If you have paid dlcs, extinction osds, aberration rad zones or genesis 2 asteroids have tons of black pearl. If not, get a black pearl gacha or there is a cave in Lost Island map which has black pearl.
First off, I highly recommend getting silica pearls from beaver dams instead of clams, much more efficient.
